We pride ourselves on our ability to offer a safe mount for all riders, beginner to advanced, to give everyone the best opportunity at success. The goal of the Southern Dream Farm lesson program is to set our riders up to be competitive in the show arena, beginning at the academy level and working towards our performance show team. The bond built between horse and rider while preparing for the show arena is unlike any other competitive sport and requires hard work and dedication. If you are not looking to ride competitively, we proudly offer lessons for those who wish ride recreationally as well.

Laney is the Owner and Head Trainer at Southern Dream Farm; her list of accomplishments, both in and out of the show arena, is testimony to her hard work and dedication in the equine industry. Starting her riding journey at age 4 and training under numerous well-known professionals, including Pamela Roush, Ronald Graham, Ruth Gimpel, and Sarah Russell. Laneys' greatest accomplishment was earning a spot on the 2020 USA World Cup Saddleseat Team as an equitation rider. Most recently, Laney was presented with the Florida Instructor of the Year award in both 2021 and 2024. Now, as a dedicated instructor, she continues to guide her students to success, earning numerous National titles over the past several years. Her hope is to continue inspiring young riders to follow their dreams, as she did!

Hannah is our Beginner/Intermediate riding instructor. With over 7 years of experience teaching young riders from the very beginning of their equine journey, Hannah has worked alongside Laney to hone her skills. She prides herself on her dedication to the Southern Dream Standard, helping kids of all ages build a strong foundation in both riding and caring for horses. Many riders who have begun with her have now earned their place on the Southern Dream Academy Show Team. Hannah's goal is to give all riders a strong foundation by providing the knowledge and confidence needed both in and out of the saddle.
30-minute ride with one-on-one instruction, based on each individual's personal riding goals and journey!
30-minute ride with one-on-one instruction, helping new riders learn basic horsemanship and riding skills.
30 minute ride with two or more students. You will eventually advance to group lessons where you will experience the fun and challenges of riding with others!
15 minutes of riding, along with 15 minutes of horse grooming, tacking, and care. This is the best option for younger students who want to ride and experience all things horses!
